Coca-Cola C2: Let's Cut Through All the Hype

This is perhaps one of the only food products I've ever eagerly awaited. I finally tried some yesterday. It was pretty good...Significantly better than diet drinks but not quite the perfect Coke classic taste. It's nutrition content is in the same situation: although it's not sugar free it's definitely a "reduced calorie/sugar beverage." Half of the sugar has been replaced by sucralose and our good friend aspartame.
So, being a member of the Coca-Cola family, myself (I was selected as a
2004 Coca-Cola Scholar) I had very high expectations for the new miracle product. I was hoping it would taste "exactly" like the "real" Coke classic formula. At the very least I would settle for it lacking any questionable diet ingredients. Oh well. I guess you'll only develop "half the cancer."
The one major success out of the entire C2 story is it's fantastic marketing campaign. It's commercials are engaging and moving. Their website effectively mirrors the independence-seeking vision. Most of all, it's viral marketing components are top notch. Check out their website for all of their little games and quizzes to see if you're as cool/free-spirited as Coke's new product.
